Service Overview
In this type of service, the cremation process has already taken place and the cremated remains are usually present for the funeral service. Interment of cremated remains can follow a memorial service, and a visitation by the family prior to the cremation may be included.

One of the advantages of cremation is the flexibility it gives you. You might choose a funeral service before the cremation, a memorial service at the time of cremation or after it with the urn present, or a committal service at the final disposition of the cremated remains.
At Foothills Memorial Chapel, our goal is to provide a service as meaningful and unique as the family we serve, no matter what religious preference or ethnic background. Memorial services can be held in a place of worship, at the funeral home or in a community hall.
Our Process of Care
Receiving your loved one into our care
Day or night, we arrange the transfer of your loved one into our care and make sure the documentation that goes with it is completed.
Meeting with your funeral director
We set an arrangement time that works for your family, in Edson, in Hinton or in your own home, and guide you through each decision without obligation.
Planning the memorial
Cremation allows the memorial service to be held at a convenient time, in our chapel, a place of worship or a community hall.
Personal tributes
Music, scripture readings, poems, personal memories, an open mic, and a slideshow or photo tribute that we can prepare for you.
Committal of the urn
Interment of the cremated remains can follow the memorial service, in a cemetery plot, columbarium or urn garden.
A year of daily grief support
Our support does not end after the service. Families can sign up to receive a grief support message from us each day for a year.
