William Jeremiah Michael Belcourt (Sonny Boy)
Sunrise March 25, 1950 - Sunset September 28, 2025
Our family is deeply saddened to share that Bill has gone on to join his beloved wife, Wendy, on their next adventure.
Bill was born on March 25, 1950, in Edson, AB, to William and Edith Belcourt. He was one of eight children, with two brothers and five sisters.
In 1969, Bill began his lifelong career with Northwest Pulp & Power, where he built many lasting friendships over the years.
He had a deep love for the outdoors—whether fishing, hunting, or simply taking in the beauty of the places he explored.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his son Kirby and daughter Becky, his sisters Jeanette (Jim), Loretta, Leah (Mike), and Marissa (David), and his grandchildren Cable, James, and Avalon. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews as well as his best friend Brad.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Edith; his brothers, Larry and Bradley; his sister, Gail; his wife, Wendy; and his grandson, Smith.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing Bill and Wendy are reunited once again.
There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the Hinton Friendship Centre with Interment to follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery. Pastor Bill Bulger will be presiding.
