Warren Gauchier Obituary

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Warren Gauchier, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born and raised in Edson, Alberta, Warren will be remembered as a devoted brother, friend, husband and father. He joined the RCMP in 1986 where he served in many communities throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories, settling in Yellowknife for the majority of his dedicated career. Warren was very proud of his Indigenous heritage and as such loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed riding his treasured Harley-Davidson motorcycle and even made the trip to Sturgis South Dakota. He had travelled to many places throughout his life but his ‘trip of a lifetime’ was to Europe, Croatia and the Vatican City, a time that he looked back on with much happiness. Warren is survived by his wife Evelyn, children Robyn and Ashlin, mother Eva Kennedy, brothers Reggie-Lee, Dwayne, Wade, Brad and his sister Carolyn along with their respective families. He will be missed and remembered with love by them as well as the countless friends made along the way.
Warren is reunited with his father, Reg Gauchier, grandparents Rachel and Lucien Lavoie, John and Margaret Gauchier, niece Cathryn Gauchier and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Warren’s Celebration of Life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 1PM, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson, Alberta, with a luncheon to follow.
