Mark Theodore Hilderman, age 62, of Jasper, Alberta, passed away on August 15, 2025.
Mark was born on December 8, 1963, in Regina, Saskatchewan, and raised in the small town of Govan, Saskatchewan. From a young age, he developed a love for the outdoors and hard work, which carried through his entire life.
His greatest passion was farming. Mark dedicated many years to working on a dairy farm, and he found joy in always being outside, keeping busy, and working with his hands. Whether it was tending to animals, fixing equipment, or simply enjoying the land, Mark's love for farming and the outdoors was a constant throughout his life. His loyal dogs — Bear, Sheena, and Chip — were always by his side on the farm, sharing in his days of hard work and companionship. Mark had a big heart and a playful spirit; he loved to tease and always made everyone around him laugh.
Mark was predeceased by his father, Harry Hilderman. He is survived by his mother, Erika Hilderman, and his sister, Teena Boutin.
Mark will be forever loved and remembered by his children:
Bethany Hilderman and her husband Tyler McGaffin, Gregory Jon Hilderman, Corey Martin Hilderman and his wife Tylene Swanson, and their dog Benson.
He was a devoted and proud grandfather to Kylie, Cooper, Madison and Nora McGaffin, and a cherished uncle to Nevin Boutin and Meagen Lee Phillips. His role as a dad, grandpa, son, brother, and friend will be remembered with deep love.
Mark's life was a testament to hard work, quiet strength, and unconditional love for his family. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, in the laughter he shared, and in the love he gave so freely.
"Dear Jesus, help me walk in the courage of my faith."
