Gail Marie (McNaughton) Szpuniarski

With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Gail Szpuniarski (McNaughton), who left us peacefully on February 15, 2026.

Gail was born and raised in Edson to Ed and Kay McNaughton in 1956, and alongside her brother Bill in a close and loving family. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry Szpuniarski, and the close family friends who are like family to her.

Gail always found joy in everyday moments. She loved spending time with friends, going out for lunch, shopping, and sharing laughs. She always had a way of bringing humour to those around her. She had a deep love for animals, and her pets were an important and cherished part of her life.

She leaves behind many cherished memories, and will always be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will take place this spring; details will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Edson Animal Rescue Society in honour of her love for animals.
