Joan Agnes Lawrence passed away with granddaughters, Kally and Katie, by her side, on October 10, 2026. She was 93 years old.
Joan spent her school years growing up in Entrance, Alberta, later moving to Edmonton for college. She and her beloved husband Keith raised a family in Calgary and moved back to Edmonton after retirement to be closer to family. Entrance continued to be her favorite place on earth.
She had a joy for life and liked to travel, shop, had a skill for arts and crafts, and loved visiting with friends. Above all, she was most happy being with her family.
She leaves behind daughter Sherry; granddaughters Janine (Gareth), Kally (Cam), and Katie (Ashley); great-nephew Justin; and great-grandchildren Mya, Ava, Harper, Oliver, and Emmy.
Joan is reunited with her parents Andrew and Olive; siblings Russel and Marj; husband Keith; son Kevin; niece Leslie; and son-in-law Gary.
The immediate family will have a celebration of life at a later date and there will be no public service.
