In Loving Memory of Gladys Caruth

Gladys Caruth passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, at 1:06 p.m. at the Edson Hospital, at the age of 93. In her final moments, she was surrounded by her loving family as she took her last breath.

Gladys was a woman who loved deeply and passionately. Her family and friends meant the world to her, and she cherished the relationships she built throughout her life. In her younger years, she enjoyed cooking and baking, talents she was especially good at, as well as knitting. These were some of the things that brought her joy and became part of the many memories her family will hold close to their hearts.

Gladys was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was at the heart of who she was. She leaves behind generations of family who will continue to cherish her memory and the love she shared with them throughout her 93 years.

Gladys was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ken; her parents, Ole and Gertrude Kjelland; her brothers, Marvin, Stan, Olaf, and Ken; her sisters, Iona, Hilda, and Helga; and her daughter-in-law, Joyce.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Doug, Ron (Connie), and Gord; her grandchildren, Jacy, Tim, Brady, Cass (Kori), and Jodi (Eric); and her great-grandchildren, Brett, Olivia, Maddie, and Harper.

Though her passing leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of those who loved her, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on through her family for generations to come. Gladys will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

As per Gladys’s wishes, a private family ceremony will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkland Seniors Lodge in Edson in Gladys’s memory
