Is it with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne Klentz announces his passing on September 20, 2026, at the age of 74 in Edson, Alberta.
Wayne was born January 26, 1952, in Pembroke, Ontario, to Ralph W. Turcotte and Grace Helen Klentz, the oldest of 17. Over the years Wayne took to working in the trades and found himself working in many different professions and fields like roofing, CN Rail, logging and Petro Care Oilfield Services. He traveled and lived in various places before settling in Edson, Alberta. But before that he was in OK Falls and Vancouver, British Columbia. Wayne was an outdoorsman at heart and his hobbies reflected that. He loved fishing, hunting and camping. He also adored quad and horseback riding, as well as working with his beloved tractor.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents Ralph Turcotte and Grace Klentz, his spouse Carolyn J. Klentz, his siblings Gerry Klentz, Brenda Popkie, sisters-in-law Linda Klentz, Debbie Klentz, and brother-in-law Albert Cliche. His son-in-law Michael Rodd, nieces Amanda Needham, Rhonda Fabrick and nephews Timmy Popkie, and Tyler Klentz. As well as his beloved pets Tommy the Tomcat and Chirp-Chirp the grouse.
He is survived by his two children Rena Rodd and Latisha (Lance) Parkinson. His grandchildren Kelsey (Cam) Smith, Colton Rodd (Ava Hart,) Devin Parkinson, Dylan Parkinson (Chloe Macleod.) His great grandchildren Connor Smith, Linden Smith and Paisley Rodd. As well his siblings Barry Klentz, Kathy (Kevin) Pearce, Diane (Mike) Bucholtz, Roseanne (Glen) Needham, Violet Klentz, Susan (Richard) Kew, Sindy (Mark) Reinert, Roxanne (Mark) Pilon, Joanne Klentz, Angela Klentz, Donald (Diana) Klentz, Todd (Elizabeth) Klentz, Kenneth (Tracey) Klentz and Wanda (Rodney) Nauss. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne leaves behind numerous friends and family.
As per Wayne's wishes there will be no Memorial Service, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
