GRIEVE, Wayne Thomas
Wayne Thomas Grieve of Edson, Alberta passed away in his 65th year, on April 19th, 2012, in Edson and District Long Term Care Facility.
Wayne was born on June 16th, 1946 in Trail, BC to Stewart and Dora Grieve.
He attended school in Rossland, BC before moving to Edmonton, AB, Grande Cache, AB, Mayerthorpe, AB and finally Edson, AB.
Wayne enjoyed Curling, Slowpitch, Trivia and previously, was a member of the Kinsmen. He also enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren in their many endeavors. Wayne was known to many, as he never failed to introduce himself to anyone who would stop and talk to him. He was a staunch supporter of the Edmonton Oilers!
He is survived by his partner Linda Hine of Edson; his children, Bryan (Chantelle) Grieve, Kelly Grieve (Chris Pascary) and Shayne (Jessie Nash) Grieve; four step children, Angela (Jay Bishop) Hine, Shayne Hine, Trisha (Mike Wilson) Hine, Shawn Hine, as well as 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
A celebration of Wayne’s life was held at the Drostan Hall on Friday, April 27th, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Edson and District Healthcare Centre or Long Term Care, or the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Wayne T. Grieve.
