SAKEN, Walter
On September 10th, 2012, Walter Saken, beloved husband of Veronica passed away in Edson at the age of 80 years.
Besides his loving wife Veronica, Walter is survived by his children: daughter Diane (Matt) Jardine of Edson, Alberta and their children, Ryan (Marina) Jardine and their children Hailey, Tyrone, Danika and Nikita all of Whitecourt, Alberta and Mark Jardine and his daughter Emma of Edmonton, Alberta, daughter Linda (Jim Nelson) Kennedy and children Gregory ( Rochelle Isaac) Kennedy, Chalsey (Roland Rondeau) Kennedy all of Edson, Alberta, son Ron (Lonni) Saken and their children Shaun and Melissa all of Peers, Alberta and daughter Sharon (Lyndon) Sieben and their children Tyler, Janeen and Nathan all of Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Also surviving are his sisters, Irene Kistenfeger and family of Edson, Alberta and Hilda Parent and family of Ponoka, Alberta.
There are numerous other relatives and many friends left to mourn as well.
Walter was predeceased by his parents, his father Alois on June 19th, 1987 and his mother Josephine on August 18th, 1988, as well as brothers in law Joe Kistenfeger and Bill Parent.
Following cremation, a “Social Gathering” was held on Saturday, September 15th, 2012 between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM at Heritage Court, 5238 – 5th Ave., Edson, Alberta.
