VANDERHAAK, John Peter
April 17, 1936 – January 1, 2017
John Peter VanderHaak of Hinton, Alberta passed away on January 1st at the Hinton Hospital.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Faye Christensen, his children: Thea Floyd (Kevin), Joanne Schweitzer (Ron), Kathleen Floyd (Ron), Mike VanderHaak (Effie), Marianne Moffett (Bruce), Hilda Morton (Don), as well as his step-children: Grant Christensen, Dana Kent (Dave), Shane Christensen (Tracy), and Garth Christensen (Donna) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His brothers and sisters: Renny Molencamp (Morris), Marianne Duiker (Hans), Jenny VanHerk (Bill), Florence Bailey, Bart VanderHaak (Liz), Floyd VanderHaak (Diane) and first wife Helen Papineau .
John was previously deceased by his parents Hitje (Hoogenboom) and Ike VanderHaak, as well as siblings Florina, Welhelmina, Pietje, and Lolka.
We will always remember his kind generous heart and joyous laugh.
In keeping with John's wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
