OVENS, Bill
May 5th, 1932 – March 3rd, 2012
The family of Bill Ovens announces the loss of their dad after a three year battle with heath issues, which he dealt with in his usual positive attitude.
He now joins other members of his family that predeceased him, his son Craig 9 days earlier, his wife Shirley in 1999, son Patrick in 1978 as well as his brother, sister and parents.
Bill is survived by his daughter Leslie, daughter Colleen (Dave), son Terry
(Val) and their children Cassandra and Kyle, daughter Lorri (Bruce) and their children Ross and Justine (Carey) all of Edson, Alberta, son Rob (Margaret) and their children Mathew and Hunter of Cold Lake, Alberta and daughter – in – law Monica and her children Brittany and Patrick of North Port, Florida.
There are two great grandchildren, Payton and Austin left to mourn as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Bill Ovens took place on Friday, March 9th, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Edson, Alberta with Rev. Kent Horsman officiating. In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made Long Term Care, Edson and District Health Care Centre, 4716 – 5th Ave, Edson, Alberta, T7E 1S8, in memory of Bill Ovens.
