DERKSEN, Steven Sr.
Steven Derksen Sr. peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 11th, 2015 at the age of 81 years.
He is survived by his children; Jean (Murray) Joan (Martin), Sonia (Barry), Steven (Dallas) as well as eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and his siblings John T. (Marie), Phil (Marg), John A. (Rita) and Inger.
There numerous niece, nephews and other relatives in Canada and Holland as well as his companion Karen and family of Edson, Alberta.
Steven was predeceased by his wife Alida, his brother Dirk and sister Frances as well as his parents Jan and Antonia.
Funeral services took place on Monday, March 16th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Edson United Church with Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating.
In lieu of other tributes the family suggests donations be directed to the Edson United Church Roof Building Fund, 1214 Edson Drive, Edson, Alberta, T7E 1H6 or to the charity of the donor's choice in memory of Steven Derksen Sr.
Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.
