SMITH, Stanley
May 11, 1925 – February 18, 2017
On February 18, 2017 Mr. Stanley Smith of Edson passed away peacefully at the at the age of 91 years.
Left to mourn his passing is his daughter, Diana Smith; grandchildren, Denise Martin, Leah Smith, David Smith and great grandchildren, Zena and Seth Martin.
Stan was predeceased by his loving wife, Vivian and son, Carl (Butch) Smith; his parents; eight siblings and nephew, Wayne.
Stan was a hard worker having many jobs throughout his life; even after his retirement from Luscar. Although most of his career was as a parts man for a variety of companies, he worked for CN, was a barber and was also the projectionist for the local theatre and drive-in.
Stan loved to garden and was always building or tinkering with something, usually the many cars he had. Stan will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, February 25th, 2017 at 11:00 from the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Edson. Pastor John Greiner officiated. Interment followed in the Glenwood Cemetery.
