PORTER, Stanley Herbert
On August 26th, 2012, Stanley Herbert Porter of Carrot Creek, Alberta passed away at the age of 69 years.
Left to mourn his loss his loving companion Brenda, his loving family, son Les (Cathy) Porter and their children Steven, Tyrel and Ryan of Parkside, Saskatchewan, son Kevin Porter of Estevan, Saskatchewan, daughter Cheryl (Arnold) Bartley and their children, Hayden and Erin of Canwood, Sask. and son Tyler (Jennie) Porter and their children Sydney and Delaney of Sangudo, Alberta.
Also surviving are his siblings; Jim Porter and family of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Dorothy Desjardins and family of Edson, Alberta, Carlene Anderson and family of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, Fern (Marino) Vanin and family of Shellbourne, Ontario and Tom (Shirley) Porter and family of Carrot Creek, Alberta, his sister in law Dorothy Porter as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Stan was predeceased by his first wife Roseanne in 1973, infant daughter Adele Porter in 1968, his parents, his father Horace Porter in 1973 and his mother Mildred Porter in 1992, his nephews Johnny Desjardins and David Anderson and brothers in law Roger Desjardins and Hans Anderson and Louis Baudin.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Carrot Creek Community Hall, Carrot Creek, Alberta with Pastor George Stone officiating.
A second service will be held on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Canwood Elks Hall, Canwood, Saskatchewan, with Pastor Christopher Dean officiating.
In lieu of other tributes, donations to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory if Stanley Porter is suggested by the family.
