MERCIER, Shirley Mable
We regret to announce the passing of Shirley Mable Mercier on June 16th, 2012 in Edson, Alberta at the age of 75 years.
Shirley is survived by her children: daughters Sharon McDavid, Patricia (Jacques) LeBlanc and Brenda Lee (Dave) Appelt, all of Edson, Alberta, and her son Kevin (Kathy) Mercier of New Richmond, Quebec. There are eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren left to mourn.
Also surviving are her siblings, Ivan (Jean) Cormier and family of Smithers, BC, Betty Maitland and family of New Richmond , PQ, Carol (Peter) Hogan and family of Arnprior, ON, Mable (Wes) LeBuffe and family, Robert (Lorraine) LeBuffe and family, and Donna LeBuffe and family all of New Richmond, PQ.
Also surviving are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband Raymond on December 6th, 2011 as well as her parents Ruby and Frank Cormier.
Following cremation, a memorial service was be held on Thursday, June 21st, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Edson United Church, Edson, Alberta with Rev. Kent Horsman officiating.
Interment followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to The Cross Cancer Institute, care of The Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 1Z2 in memory of Shirley Mable Mercier.
