Shirley Ann Joy
1935 – 2017
On November 30, 2017, Shirley passed away peacefully with her family by her side in the Hinton General Hospital at the age of 82 years.
Shirley was born in Carvel, Alberta to Lillian and Walter Badke, longtime residents of Hinton, Alberta.
Left to cherish her memory are her: children Glen (Norma) Joy, Brenda (Lyle) Clark, David (Jody) Joy; grandchildren Dylan Joy, Rebecca Joy, Nicholas Joy, Tyson Clark, Jordana Clark, Vanessa Joy, Veronica Joy, Megan Joy and Allison Joy: siblings Harold Badke, Sherman (Nancy) Badke, Colleen Misanchuk, and Faye Stotts. Along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She left us to join her husband George (Geordie) Joy, parents Lillian and Walter Badke, sisters Carolyn Strembicke and Donna Oneil, brother-in-law’s Jim Oneil and Ken Stotts.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou to Dr. Ardwini and all the nursing and support staff of Hinton General Hospital who showed great care and compassion to Shirley during her final days.
A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date in the spring of 2018.
