Hinchey, Shirley
On January 19th, 2014, Alwyn Shirley Hinchey, beloved widow of Douglas Hinchey passed away in Edson at the age of 89 years, Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, her loving family, son Bob Hinchey and family, daughter Sharon (Dale) Hemmerling and family and Allen (Patsy) Hinchey and family all of Edson, Alberta. There are numerous other relatives and many friends left to mourn.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband Douglas in 2010 as well as her parents Esther Fanny and Samuel James Appleby and siblings Charley, Dorothy, Joan and Maureen.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion in Edson with Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of other tributes, the family suggests donations be directed the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 – 124 Street, T5M 0H9 in memory of Alwyn Shirley Hinchey.
