HENDRICKS, SHIRLEY MAXINE
The family of Shirley Hendricks wish to announce her passing in Edson, Alberta on December 12, 2010. Shirley was 77 years old.
Left to cherish her memory and remember all that she was is her loving family; son Robert (Annette) Hendricks of Stony Plain, Alberta and their children Christopher and Bryan (Kelsey); son, Colin (Joanne) Hendricks of Red Deer, Alberta and their children Christine (Mark), Craig, Jenna and Sheridan; Daughter, Dayna-Rae (Kelly) Wilson of Oyen, Alberta and children Ashley and Travis (Kelly). Shirley also leaves behind her great grandchildren Journey, Mayla, and Rachel. Left to also treasure Shirley’s memory are her many siblings, brothers, Gary Hewins, Doug (Diane) Hewins, Steven Hewins, Alan (Liona) Hewins, Harvey (Ione) Hewins, Bill (Birdie (Margaret)) Hewins, Howard (Audrey) Hewins; and her sisters, Irene (Burt) Meropoulis, Lila (Lyle) Meropoulis, Sandy (Lawrence) Shenfield, Donna (Don) Law, Audrey (Bert) Hanson and one sister in law Mary Hewins. Shirley leaves behind a vast amount of family members, and a large group of special friends; all were near and dear to her.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents Octor and Hazel Hendricks, sister, Francis, brother, Grant and one sister in law Joan.
Shirley was a true pioneer of the Mackay area and grew up all her life in this area of the world she treasured so much. She will be missed by the people and communities of this area and many will remember her always.
Memorial Services for Shirley were held on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Mackay Community Hall in Mackay, Alberta with Pastor George Stone officiating. Shirley will be laid to rest at a later date. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
