DICKSON, ROY ANTHONY
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Roy Anthony Dickson at the age of 87 years.
Roy is survived by his three sons; Al (Jill) Dickson of Niton Junction, Alberta and their family, son Brian (Fallon) of Niton Junction and their children Ty, Hanna and Madison, daughter Diana (Terry) Podmoroff of Crestomere and their children Tanea and Odessa, stepson Larry Strawson of Edson and step daughter Cindy (Mike) Fawcett of Edmonton, Gary (Lisa) Dickson of Edson, Alberta and their family, son Don (Danette) of Edson, daughter Jennifer (Ryan) Buehler and their son Jake of Olds, son Branden and daughter Janice, both of Calgary and stepsons Thomas Creighton of Vancouver and Erik Creighton of Edson and Jack (Kim) Dickson of Edson, Alberta and their family, son Chad (Melonie) and their son Kyle, son Chance and daughter Chelsey, both of Edson.
Roy is also survived by his sisters Lil Watling and family of Westlock, Alberta, Ethel Giese and family of Stony Plain, Alberta, Ruth Willard and family of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Jean Hennig and family of Spruce Grove, Alberta and Dorothy Semeniuk and family of Edmonton, Alberta as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Roy was predeceased by his loving wife June in 1978, brothers George and Frank Dickson as well as long time companion Fay Delano.
Funeral services for Roy Anthony Dickson took place on Monday, March 7th, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Niton Community Hall, Niton, Alberta with Rev. Kent Horsman officiating and interment followed in the Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta on Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 at 10:00.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
