It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden death of Rodney (Rod) Bert David Scotland (Hinton, AB) on October 24, 2020, at the age of 54. Born September 7, 1966 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, he grew up in Pictou, Nova Scotia and moved to Alberta in 1990.
He was predeceased by his parents Rodney (1969) and Mary (2015), Brother Bert (in infancy), Paternal grandparents Bert & Marion Scotland, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Maternal grandparents Tom & Mary Cyr, Pictou, Nova Scotia.
He is survived by his stepfather Herbert Hagel, Hinton, AB, Son Brian (Savannah) Scotland, Granddaughter Piper, Hinton, AB, Son Peter (Kimmy) Larade, grandson Noah, Pictou, NS. Stepchildren Justin Walton, Edmonton, AB and Britney Walton, Edson, AB; Siblings, Vickie (Bert) MacDonald, Scotch Hill, NS, Robert (Theresa) Scotland, River John, NS, and Leah (Richard) Bray, Hinton, AB. His loyal companion Ellie Coco Bear and good friend/cousin David (Margret) Widen, Hinton, AB.
He will be extremely missed by several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and countless friends who he regularly loved to facetime.
