ARMSTRONG, Robert James
On December 28th, 2012, Mr. Robert James Armstrong of Hinton, Alberta passed away following a courageous battle with cancer. His family was at his side.
Robert is survived by his loving children and their families, son Duane Armstrong of Hinton, Alberta and his children, Cody Armstrong of Brule and his children Wyatt, Ellora and Alissa, daughter Amy (Robert) Osmond of Medicine Hat, Alberta and daughter Nikita (Chris) Armstrong of Hinton, Alberta, his son Neil Armstrong of Hinton, Alberta and his children Janine (William) Kopas of Hinton, Alberta and their children Ryder and Liam and Savanah (Chris) Armstrong of Hinton, Alberta.
Robert is also survived by Lorraine Kennedy, the mother of his children. Also surviving is his mother Mrs. Gladys Whitson of Camrose, Alberta, brother Leonard (Gladys) Armstrong and family of Debolt, Alberta and sister Audrey (Duane) Huseby and family of Camrose. Alberta.
Robert was predeceased by his father Welcome Armstrong in 1953 and his stepfather Percy Whitson in 2002.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Hinton, Alberta. Pastor John Klassen officiant.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Hinton Healthcare Centre, 1280 Switzer Drive, Hinton, Alberta T7V 1V2 for Chemotherapy equipment in memory of Robert James Armstrong.
