HARDIE, ROBERT BLAIR
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Blair Hardie at the age of 63 years on January 17th, 2011 in Mayerthorpe, Alberta.
Robert is survived by his children: John (Sylvia Richard) Cockburn Hardie of St. Thomas, Ontario,
Jeff (Emma) Hardie of Edmonton, Alberta, Anthony Hardie of London, Ontario, Gerrid Hardie, Fallon Hardie and Joel Sheldon all of Mayerthorpe, Alberta and Megan (Chris) Goff of London, Ontario.
Also surviving are his grandchildren: Mathew Hardie, Kayla Hardie, Sheldon Hardie, Braden Hardie, Jonas Hardie, Jace Hardie, Dylan Cockburn, Samantha Cockburn, Scott Williams and Krystal Williams and great grandchildren Chayce Williams and Ethan Williams.
Also surviving is his sister Anne Gowing of Florida, USA and as his Aunt Maxine Herr of Thorndale, Ontario along with his close friends Davis and Linda Hamm, Jack Nicholson, Mark Smith, Leroy, Dan and Jack as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Robert was predeceased by his daughter Felicia and his parents, Mabel and Everett Hardie.
Funeral Services for Robert Blair took place on Friday, January 21st, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Mayerthorpe Baptist Church with Pastor Ian Smith officiating and interment followed on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011at 1:00 PM in the Mayerthorpe Cemetery.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta and NWT, 10985 – 124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T5M 0H9 in memory of Robert Blair Hardie.
