HALLAM, Robert Cecil
It is with deep regret and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Cecil Hallam of Hinton, Alberta, beloved husband of Donna on January 2nd, 2012 at the age of 82 years.
Besides his loving wife Donna, Bob is survived by his son Rod (Lynn) Hallam and their children Travis (Carly) and Scott all of Hinton, Alberta and his daughter Jane (Randy) Leeson of Hinton, Alberta and their children Jedd (Charlsie) of Hinton, Alberta and Cam of Ponoka, Alberta.
There are numerous other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn as well.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Eileen Hallam as well as his sister Pat Delys.
Bob was as avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt in the mountains but was always mindful of conservation and the environment. He was a great historian and had a passion for local history as it pertained to the fur trade. David Thompson was his hero. He was involved in both the Grande Cache and Hinton Historical Society and could, when asked the name of any mountain and stream in the area, not only name it but tell you the historical significance in the area. Bob was a kind and caring father, grandfather and husband whose active participation in his family’s lives will be sadly missed.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of other tributes the family suggests donations be directed to the charity of their choosing in memory of Robert Cecil Hallam.
