Rita passed away December 30, 2021, at the Edson Continuing Care Centre. She was 96 years old. Rita was born August 29, 1925, in Meadow Lake, SK.
Rita is survived by her husband Allan Sims, son Ralph Perkins and Granddaughter Ashley (Elden) MacIver. Rita was predeceased by her son Hugh Perkins, first husband Kenneth Perkins, parents Pierre and Elizabeth Malbeouf, as well as siblings Rosy, Leah, Harry, Joseph, Eli, Donald, Eugene and Mike.
Rita was very active in the Edson community; she was a lifetime member of the Royal Purple. She loved crafts and playing cards.
Cremation has taken place, interment will take place at the Glenwood Cemetery in Edson, AB., in the spring.
