MERCIER, Raymond,
We regret to announce the passing of Raymond Mercier of Edson, Alberta, and formerly of New Richmond, Quebec, on December 6th, 2011 at the age of 77 years.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife Shirley of Edson, Alberta, his daughters Sharon McDavid, Patricia (Jacques) LeBlanc and Brenda Lee (Dave) Appelt all of Edson, Alberta and son Kevin (Kathy) Mercier of New Richmond, Quebec. There are eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and his brother Ralph left to mourn as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
Raymond was predeceased by his mother Sarah Mercier and son-in-law David McDavid in 2000.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9th, 2011 at the Foothills Memorial Chapel in Edson with Rev. Kent Horsman officiating. Interment of cremated remains will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Alberta Lung Association, PO Box 4500, Station South, Edmonton, Alberta, T6A 6K2 in memory of Raymond Mercier.
