Patrick Allan McHugh

September 9, 1958 – August 23, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pat McHugh on August 23, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie; his two daughters, Briana and Allie; his mother Shirley McHugh; his brothers and sisters Maureen (Lincoln) Beamish, Michael (Julie) McHugh, Tim McHugh, and Barb (Jim) Hermanson, and his nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by his father James Allan McHugh.

Pat was born in Neepawa, Manitoba on September 9, 1958. He loved the outdoors and spent his time camping, hunting, fishing, and golfing. When not spending his time outside, Pat enjoyed his self-taught hobbies of taxidermy and guitar. An avid sports fan, he loved to play hockey and was a great fan of the Calgary Flames and the Calgary Stampeders.

Pat started his career as an instrument mechanic and electrician at Western Decalta and Pembina in Longview, Alberta. He and his family moved from Longview to Okotoks in 1999, where Pat continued his work for various companies in Calgary.

Pat will be remembered for his humour and wit and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Evening prayers were held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 7 p.m. and a memorial service was held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church in Black Diamond.
