SVEDBERG, OSCAR
On September 5th, 2011, Oscar Svedberg passed away in Edson, Alberta at the age of 93 years. Oscar was born on July 1st, 1918 in Edson.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory, his loving wife Helen of Edson, Alberta, his children, son Erick Svedberg Edson, Alberta, daughter Carole (Eric) Stewart of Charlettown, P.E.I., son Gerald (Linda) Svedberg , son Warren Svedberg and son Brian Svedberg all of Edson, Alberta. There are eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters Nima Tomich of Jasper, Alberta, Elsie Stubbington and Ella Regier both of Edmonton, Alberta and Jenny Perdue of Edson, Alberta and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Oscar was predeceased by his parents, Pete and Alida Svedberg, his grandson Dean, daughter in law Erna as well as brothers and sisters, Gustov, Willie, Roy, Everett, Mary and Nimie.
Funeral services for Oscar Svedberg will take place on Saturday, September 10th, 2011 at 2 PM at the Carrot Creek Community Hall in Carrot Creek, Alberta with Pastor Larry Tollefson officiating. Viewing will take place at 1:00 PM in the community hall. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery, Carrot Creek, Alberta.
In lieu of other tributes, the family suggests, if desired, donations may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Oscar Svedberg.
