It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nathan Graham Vanderhoek on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the age of 42.
Nathan was born in Edmonton, AB and had spent his early childhood years growing up in St. Albert, until he and his family moved to Edson in August of 1989.
He is survived by his wife Jerri-Lyn, and their two sons Beau and Graham, his parents Henry and Julie Vanderhoek, his brother Aaron (Sharon) Vanderhoek, his nieces Ellie (Josh) Vanderhoek, Grace Vanderhoek, Erica (Kyler) Close, Rachel (Wylie) Dunne, his nephews Johnathan Pfeifer, Jack Pfeifer, his great nephew Waylon Dunne, his mother and father in-law Willard and Delaine Close, his sister in-law Jennifer Pfeifer, and his brother in-law Jeffrey (Jo-Anne) Close. He is also survived by other extended family members.
Nathan was a wonderful husband, father, son, uncle and friend. When he wasn’t working long hours in the oilfield to provide for his family, he was spending time with his family and friends either fixing something or just having some quality time with them. He loved to do many things, and split his down time gaming online, going camping, fishing or quadding with his family and friends. With Nathan’s sense of humour and quick wit, you never knew what would come out of his mouth; he always kept you on your toes. He made friends easily and will be missed by all who knew him. He was loved by so very many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Edson, AB on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Reverent Lexie Nash officiating.
