Myrline Karen Tollefson
It’s with sadden hearts that we inform you of the passing of Myrline Karen Tollefson, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She passed away on April 19 2014 at the age of 72 at the Edson hospital.
Myrline was born on February 20 1942 in Consort Alberta to Enoch and Dolly Cornelius. Myrline married DJ Rees October 23 1965 and together they had 3 children; Karen, Bradley and Berkley and lived in Craigmyle for 23 years until DJ’s passing. Myrline then got lucky a second time and found love and married Pastor Larry Tollefson September 22, 1990 and he brought to the marriage three more children Darcy, Shelley and Terri. They ministered at Bethel Pentecostal Family Worship Centre in Edson for 21 years. Myrline had a very strong faith in her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ which she shared with everyone.
She is survived by her husband Pastor Larry Tollefson, their six children, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, two brothers Ray and Clint Cornelius, one sister Bev Hart, many nieces and nephews.
Myrline was predeceased by her father, mother and younger sister Lorena Scheffelmaier.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who helped and cared for Myrline during her illness. We would like to say a special thank you to Marilyn and Dr. Rod Oishi along with other Edson Hospital staff for the wonderful care they provided. She will be forever missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
A funeral service took place on Friday April 25th, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Pentecostal Family Worship Centre.
Myrline will be laid to rest at the Craigmyle Cemetery April 28, 2014 at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bethel Mission Ministries at the Bethel Pentecostal Family Worship Centre at 6350~13th ave Edson, Alberta T7E 1S2.
