MACRAE, Michelle Denise
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michelle MacRae on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the age of 44 years.
Left to cherish Michelle’s memory are her husband of 22 years, Scott MacRae; her children, Reegan, Tyler and Shae; her parents Wally & Lynn McMorran; her brothers, James (Denay) McMorran and Daniel (Amy) McMorran; her 2 grandchildren Riley and Rayne; as well as numerous relatives and a host of friends.
Michelle was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Art and Mildred Grenier; her paternal grandparents Robert and Beatrice McMorran; father-in-law Richard Belanko; uncle and Godfather Marvin Grenier and uncle Claude Côté; and cousins Jason Franus and Blair Côté.
Michelle loved all animals but most of all she loved horses. She was a member of the Evergreen Saddle Club when she was in Junior High and was named Rodeo Queen in 1989. Throughout her life she continued to be actively involved with the 4H Club and most recently the Yellowhead Agricultural Society. Michelle was a kind and gentle person who was always willing to help anyone, whether a competitor, family or friends alike.
In lieu of other tributes, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Yellowhead Agricultural Society, PO Box 5138, Edson, Alberta T7E 1T4 or to a charity of one’s choice.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating Michelle’s life will be held on Saturday, August 6th, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Royal Canadian Legion #51 with The Reverend Ann Salmon officiating.
