CALLENDER, ALICE ANASTASIA
With a heavy heart, the family of Alice Callender of Hinton, Alberta wish to announce her passing on November 1, 2010 at Hinton, Alberta. Alice was 79 years old.
Left to mourn her loss and cherish all that she was is her loving family; husband , Fred Callender of Hinton, Alberta and their children; Brian (Rosemary) Callender of Stony Plain, Alberta, Mary Callender of Hinton, Alberta and her children, Angie-Lee (Curtis Hewins) of Hinton, Alberta and Terri-Lynn (Mitch Nado) Baker of Viking, Alberta; Maureen (Wayne Ramstead) Callender of Hinton, Alberta, Greg (Sally Whitford) Callender and child Alyssha Whitford all of Hinton, Alberta. Alice is also survived by grandchildren Jason and Terry Callender both of Red Deer, Alberta, great grandchildren, Samuel, Marcus, Jaymee Hewins, Dylan Callender, Ethan Callender and niece Mary Furey of Ontario. Alice is survived by her brother John Furey of Victoria, British Columbia; sisters, Kathleen Borrelli of Newfoundland, Helen Ryan of Newfoundland and Peg Reddick of California, USA. Alice also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of good friends.
Alice was predeceased by her mother and father, Frances and William Furey, sons Terry Callender, Jerome Callender, sister, Mary McGinty, and brother, Edward Furey.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on November 6 at Our Lady of The Foothills Catholic Church in Hinton, Alberta at 11:00 Am with Father Brian Inglis presiding. Interment followed at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hinton, Alberta.
