FORSTER, Mary Nancy

December 26th, 1939 – February 5th, 2011
Mary Forster, of Fort McMurray, passed away peacefully at the Northern Lights Continuing Care Unit on Saturday, February 5th, 2011, after a lengthy scuffle with Alzheimers disease. Born in Edson, Alberta, December 26th, 1939, Mary Graduated from the University of Alberta with a Degree in Nursing. Working as a Public Health Nurse in St. Paul and Bonnyville. Alberta, she met her husband Constable Peter Forster who was a Member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who was stationed at the Bonnyville Detachment. After her marriage, Mary and her husband Peter raised their family, in various communities in Alberta and Saskatchewan, eventually making their home in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Mary was predeceased by her Mother, Nancy, and Father, Paul. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Peter, Sons David, Grant, Jeffrey and wife Trisha, Grandson Brett and Granddaughter Addison.. Mary was blessed by many extended family and friends during her life. Mary will be remembered for her caring and loving nature and the way she lived “Life One Day at a Time”
Prayer services were held on Friday, February 11th, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson and Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Saturday, February 12th, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Andrew Lukaszewicz, Celebrant.
Cremation followed this service.
A Memorial Service will be held in Fort McMurray on February 19th, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Father Turcotte School.
