BRISEBOIS, Martha Faye
We are saddened to announce the passing of Martha Brisebois on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016 at the age of 76 years in Edson, Alberta.
Martha was the beautiful daughter of Edna Larson and Alexander Lackie. Martha, also known as ‘Toad’ to her brothers and sisters was born on January 17, 1940 at the Royal Alex in Edmonton and grew up in Darwell, Alberta, though she spent most of her life in Edson, Alberta.
Martha leaves behind her two beautiful children, Kelly and Jim; her two sisters, Margaret and Laurie; her brother Cliff as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her three brothers; Wilf, Grant and Don. Martha married Gilbert Trumpour in 1960 and together they had a beautiful daughter Kelly in 1962, a year later in 1963, they had a handsome boy Jim. Gilbert passed away in 1966 after a tragic mining accident.
Martha was a hostess for most of her life, though she also worked in camps as a cook. Her family always came first and was most important to her. Martha’s favourite past time was gardening; she always had the nicest one! She enjoyed being outside having fires and roasting hot dogs, but most of all she loved having her family around. Christmas was her favourite time of year because she got to gather with all the family near and far and sit down with a delicious home cooked meal.
