YOUNG, Margaret Jean (Peggy)
On November 28th, 2015, Margaret Jean (Peggy) Young of Peers, Alberta passed away at the age of 84 years.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Susan (Allan) Shantz of Peers, Alberta and their children Jill (Rick) and Jeremy, her son David of Mayerthorpe and his son Ryan (Angel) and their children Samantha, William and Matthew, her son Patrick (Gina) of Cochrane, Alberta and their children Sara and Craig, son Bruce (Laurie) of Peers, Alberta and their sons Garrett and Connor, her son Tim (Mabel) of Peers, Alberta and their children Ted (Kayla), Tony (Samantha), Kent (his daughters Serena and Lindsay) and Erin, son Keith (Wendy) of Peers, Alberta and their daughters Jordan (Devon) and Jayde ((Quentin).
Also surviving are her sisters in law Ann Ross and Alice Ross and brothers in law Don (Shirley) Young and Dan Rouillard.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband Ken in 2003, her parents Susie Ross in 1991 and Jack Ross in 1981, her brothers Ron Ross in 2009, Bill Ross in 2015, Jack Ross in 2015, sister in law Lorna Rouillard in 2007 and brother in law Ted Young in 1963.
There are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives as well as many friends of her grandchildren who call her Granny, Grandma Peg or Nana left to mourn as well,
Peggy had many close friends as well as her cohorts in her art group who will miss her dearly.
She requested cremation and a small graveside service will be held at McLeod Valley Cemetery at later date for family and a few close friends.
“Peggy said she didn’t need a funeral for people to say she had a good life. She already knew that”.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in Memory of Peggy young.
