CONARROE, Linda Kathryn
Linda was born in Edson and welcomed into the world on September 27th, 1943 by her parents Everett and Muriel Mahon.
In her teenager years, Linda met Dennis Conarroe from Hinton, and following a long courtship, the two were married on October 17th, 1964.
. They were later blessed with two children, Shaun and Kathi, their spouses Gale and Dennis and four grandchildren, Jordan and Ally Conarroe and Megan and Cindy Fischer.
Dennis and Linda lived in Hinton, Edmonton and Calgary before settling back in Edson in 1977.
With a continual focus on the community, Linda spent several years working with the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division, Edson Chamber of Commerce, the Edson Hospital, the Office of the MLA and the Edson United Church.
Always prepared to volunteer, Linda would help whenever and wherever it was needed, giving all of herself to her family and friends, whether it was her gift of written or spoken word, her attentive ear, or her sewing machine. She will be deeply missed.
Linda passed away on April 14th, 2014.
Following cremation, memorial services will take place on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Edson United Church with Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be directed to the Edson United Church, 1214 Edson Drive, Edson, Alberta, T7E 1H6 or to the Edson Healthcare Auxiliary, 4711 - 5th Ave.,Edson, Alberta T7E 1S5 in memory of Linda Kathryn Conarroe.
