WADDELL, Leslie Murray
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Leslie on Monday, April 3, in Hinton at the age of 90 years.
Leslie was born February 24, 1927 in Calgary. He was one of 12 children born to Daisy and Charles Waddell. In August of 1956, he married the love of his life, Barbara (Nowlin) and together they raised three children. Les worked at the mill until his retirement. He was an active member of Kinsmen, an avid golfer, he coached minor hockey and remained busy with senior’s activities after his retirement.
He will be remembered by his wife, Barbara; his children, Brenda (Murray) Oneil, Murray (Hilma-Sue), Scott (Jackie); his grandchildren Megan (Carlton), Erin (Alex), Traci, Colin, Sydney, Drew and great grandsons Finn, Erik; step grandchildren, Breanne (Paxton) Malyk, Marc, and Brock (Tanya); step great grandchildren Kruz and Racie; He is also survived by sisters, Rose Lafortune and Ethelwyn Pestell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 2:00 pm in the Hinton Centre, 965 Switzer Drive, Hinton, AB.
