SPROWL, Laura Alice
We regret to announce the passing of Laura Alice Sprowl at the age of 70 years on March 26th, 2011 in Hinton, Alberta.
Laura married Norman in September of 1956 in Jasper. They settled in Hinton and started a family in 1957. Laura was well known for her 30 + years of employment at the IGA where she provided great service with lots of smiles and laughter. She enjoyed camping, bowling and socializing with her friends. She was also very crafty with sewing and crochet. In 1995, after retiring, Laura and Norman moved to OK Falls where she developed a number of close friendships. She enjoyed her new home and the warmer weather!!!
After Norman passed away in 2008, Laura moved back to Hinton to be close to family. Laura will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Laura is survived by her loving family, daughters Brenda (Charlie) Yvon and their family, Gina Yvon (Darren) and daughter Annalee and Roger (Jen) Yvon all of Hinton, Alberta and daughter Bev (Greg) Hore of Hinton, Alberta and their family, Mark Kristen) Poiron and children Ella, Ruby and June all of Olds, Alberta, Laura Poiron and daughter Autymn of Edson, Alberta, Jay (Jacquie) Hore and their children Luke and Kate all of Hinton, Alberta and Donn (Casey) Hore of Whistler, British Columbia.
Laura is further survived by her brother Lee McCauley and family of Edmonton, Alberta.
Laura was predeceased by her loving husband Norman in 2008 as well as her brother Jim McCauley and sister Beatrice Henry.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will follow at a later date.
