LIND, Larry Hugh

Larry Hugh Lind, aged 70 years, passed away peacefully on August 26th, 2015, after a lenghty illness.

Larry leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of 22 years, Mila; his son Daren (Maxine) Lind and daughter Dionne (Mike) Coston and eight grandchildren.

Larry was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Mary and Jack Lind.

He moved to Edson with his parents in 1952 where he obtained his schooling. He joined the navy in 1961 and served three years. While in service, he received electrical training which he pursued after leaving the navy. Larry worked as an electrical inspector for 18 years before becoming a co-owner of The Inspection Group until his retirement in 2009.

During the course of his work, larry traveled extensively throughout northwest Alberta, becoming known as honest, no nonsense, "tell it like I see it" making Larry highly respected within the electrical brotherhood.

Larry's love of adventure and the open road led him to travel two continents on a motorcycle, meeting people and exploring areas few ventured to.

Follow cremation, a memorial service and lunch was held on Friday, September 4th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at The Royal Canadian Legion, 5016 - 5th Ave., in Edson with Rev. Les Halliwell oficiating.

In lieu of other tributes, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and NWT, 10531 Kingsway Ave., T5K 4K1 in memory of Larry Hugh Lind would be appreciated by the family.
