Kevin Michael Yoki of Hinton, Alberta passed away suddenly on July 30th, 2010 at Vision Park in Edson while playing baseball, the sport he loved so much. Kevin was born in Geraldton, Ontario on August 25th, 1965.
He is survived by his mother Elan Yoki, predeceased by his father Bob Yoki. Kevin will be missed by his life partner and friend Stacey Callihoo, his children Adam and Shane Yoki of Thunder Bay, Ontario, step children Joydyn (Steve), Kody and Jesse all of Hinton, and one grandchild Ava. Also left to mourn are his siblings; Donald Abbott, Evelyn (Richard) Anderson, Russell (Debbie) Abbott, Ross (Maureen) Abbott, Danny (Lisa) Abbott, Bill (Lorrie) Yoki and Dave (Wendy) Yoki. Kevin will be missed by Stacey’s mother Janice and her father George, her sister Christie and her son Briggs. The entire Callihoo clan will miss Kevin as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends whose lives he touched. Kevin was a guy you could always depend on.
A “Celebration” of Kevin’s life took place at the Hinton Centre, 965 Switzer Drive in Hinton on August 5th, 2010 at 5:00 PM.
In lieu of other tributes, the wishes of the family are to have donations made to a trust fund for Shane Yoki, Kevin’s youngest son.
