Katy was born in Vancouver, BC. She is survived by her mother Gloria Grimshaw, daughter Virginia Grimshaw (Scott), stepdaughter Jenna Lee Merrill, goddaughter Josalyn Foidart (Leon), and best friend Barb King (Kevin). She is predeceased by her father Charles.
Two dear bright eyes, a tender smile,
A loving heart that knew no guile.
Deep trust in God that all was right,
Her joy to make some other bright.
If sick and suffering one she she knew,
Some gentle act or love she'd do;
No thought of self, but of "the other",
I know He said, "Well done, dear mother".
