MADSEN, Karen
On October 6th, 2012, Mrs. Karen Madsen, beloved widow of Niels passed away in Edson at the age of 96 years.
Karen is survived by her family: son Svend (Krista) Madsen and family of Calgary, Alberta, son Kristian (Lila) Madsen and family of Squamish, British Columbia, daughter Mary (Jim) McDonell and family of Castelgar, British Columbia, daughter Lis (Bob) Anderson and family of Edson, Alberta and son Jan (Donna) Madsen and family of Edson, Alberta and her brother Niels B. Christensen and family in Denmark.
Karen was predeceased by her beloved husband Niels in 2001, her daughter Lis Christina Madsen in 1946 and one sister, Gina Madsen in 2009.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on October 20th, 2012 at 3:30 PM at the Edson United Church with Rev. Kent Horsman officiating. Interment of cremated remains will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to Parkland Lodge, 4619 – 9th Ave., T7E 1R7 in memory of Karen Madsen.
