PEET, Joyce Margaret
On December 5th, 2013 Joyce Peet, age 92 formerly of Edson, Alberta passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Born in Fort William, Ontario on September 12th, 1921, Joyce moved to Edson where she met “Charlie”. They married on July 17th, 1940 raising three sons, and two daughters and Joyce’s sister Karen all on 4th avenue in Edson.
Joyce enjoyed many crafts, knitting, crocheting, quilting and making Mr. & Mrs. Santa’s. Their home of 45 years still stands serving the community at Edson Bread of Life Mission.
Joyce is lovingly remembered by her sisters Barbara Balmer, Pearl (Dean) Marshall, Delphine Easley, brother Melvin Moxam, and brother-in-law Joe Keen, children Gilbert (Elaine), Bob (Lynn), David, Gladys (Ted) Lemperger and son-in-law Howard Stegen, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Margaret Moxam, her brothers Gilbert, Leonard, sister Karen Keen, daughter Betty Stegen and husband of 58 years Charles Frederick Peet.
Funeral services were held on December 11th, 2013 followed by interment at the Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta beside her loving husband Charlie.
