KOCH. Joyce Ellen (Nee MacKay)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Joyce Ellen Koch of Hinton, Alberta on October 26th, 2012 at the age of 62 years.
Joyce is survived by her loving family: son Quenton (Tammy) Koch of Hinton, Alberta, daughter Angel (Shaun) Throndson of Spruce Grove, Alberta and son Ewen (Marta) Koch of Hinton, Alberta. Joyce is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Kaelan and Rylan Koch, Brennan and Ally Koch and Nahla Throndson.
She leaves behind her siblings and their families, Dianne (Ron) Erickson of Hinton, Alberta, Lynne (Al) Timmerman of Edmonton, Alberta, Bob (Diana) MacKay of Edmonton, Alberta, Lorrie (Glenn) Ross of Hinton, Alberta, Debbie (Terry) Workun of Hinton, Alberta and Sissy (Wayne) Parnall of Hinton, Alberta.
There are many other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn as well.
Joyce was predecease by her parents, her mother Joan MacKay in 2003, her father Alvin MacKay in 2011 and her brother John MacKay in 2012 as well as grandson Quinn Koch in 2002.
Joyce valued family above all else. Through her kindness, caring and compassion she touched many lives, and was an inspiration to those who were privileged to know her.
She loved being surrounded by family, and took great comfort in having them close by through her final days.
Followed by cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Foothills Church in Hinton with Pastor Chris Logan officiating.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be directed to the Hinton Healthcare Centre for Palliative Care, 1280 Switzer Drive, Hinton, Alberta, T7V 1V2 in memory of Joyce Ellen Koch.
