ZIZEK, JOSEPH (JOE)
We are saddened to announce the passing of Joseph (Joe) Zizek, beloved
husband of Paula on October 30th, 2010 in Edson, Alberta the age of 72
years.
Besides his loving wife Paula, Joe is survived by his daughter Michelle
(Doug) and their children Olivia and Declan. Also surviving is his sister
Franciska Horvat and family in Slovenia, sisters-in-law Matilda Zizek and
Ann Resek, nephews Joe Zizek, Leon (Wanda) Resek, Michael Resek and nieces
Theresa (Ken) Waterman, Frances (Bernie) Auger, Paula (Ron) McKay and their
families.
Joe was predeceased by his granddaughter Katie, his father Anton and his
mother Tereza as well as brothers Stefan and John.
Prayer service will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 at 7:00 PM at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson. A Mass of Christian burial will
follow on Thursday, November 4th, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church with Father Andrew Lukasewicz Celebrant. Internment will take place in
the Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
In lieu of other tributes, the family suggests donations be directed to
the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 4803 – 6th Ave.,Edson, Alberta, T7E 1E1 or to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Joseph Zizek.
