It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John Michael MacKay of Hinton, Alberta on January 18th, 2012 at the age of 50 years.
John is survived by his son John (Janelle) MacKay of Hinton, Alberta and their daughter Nathalie, as well as his siblings: twin Sissy (Wayne) Parnall, of Hinton, Alberta, Dianne (Ron) Erickson of Hinton, Alberta, Lynne (Al) Timmerman of Edmonton, Alberta, Joyce Koch of Hinton, Alberta, Bob (Diana) MacKay of Edmonton, Alberta, Lorrie (Glenn) Ross of Hinton, Alberta, Debbie (Terry) Workun of Hinton, Alberta, step mother Daisy MacKay of Hinton, Alberta, step sisters Ellen Wuskynyk of Hinton, Alberta, Yvonne Garneau of Sundre, Alberta and Mariea (George) Ostashek of Hinton, Alberta and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
John was predeceased by his father Alvin in 2011, his mother Joan in 2003, his sister Joan Carol in 1951 and brother Alvin in 1953.
Funeral services for John Michael MacKay will be held on Wednesday, January
25th, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Foothills Catholic Church in Hinton, Alberta. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of other tributes, the family suggests donations, if desired be directed to
Palliative Care, Hinton General Hospital, 1280 Switzer Drive, T7V 1V2, Hinton, Alberta, in memory of John Michael MacKay.
