DUNCAN, John Allen (Al)
Al was born in Edmonton on December 14th, 1929 and passed away in Edson on April 20th, 2013.
Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife of 60 years, Trudy Duncan, daughter Susan (Richard) Duncan of Kamloops, BC, son Rod Duncan of Edmonton, AB, daughter Lori Czerwinski of Priddis, AB, son Glenn (Lorna) Duncan of Ottawa, ONT, granddaughter Natalie Duncan, grandsons Zackary Duncan, Samual Duncan, Martin Czerwinski, Donovan Czerwinski and Jonas Zanden in Sweden as well as four great grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister in law Maxine Trydal of Sylvan Lake, AB and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Al was predeceased by his mother Mildred Bunyan, his brother Kenneth Duncan and daughter in law Ann Duncan.
Al was dedicated to his work as a production accountant and manager for forty years at Texaco Exploration and ESSO and was highly respected by those who worked with him. He will be remembered for his enduring wit and love of family, friends and fun.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Friday, April 26th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Edson, Alberta with L.W. L Kimberly Roy officiating. Private interment followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
The family extends their gratitude to the health care aides and nurses for their skilled and compassionate care, and to Dr. Robert White, Dr. Brian Willis and Crystal Browne, Director of Care.
