Joanna May Burns (Jo) passed away in Edmonton, AB on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the age of 65.
She is survived by her daughter Alison (Bob Stogrin) Wynne; siblings Bob (Barb) Burns, Paul (Deborah) Burns, Simon Burns (Leslie Bowness), Richard (Tracy) Burns, Kim (Chuck) Daniel; stepmother Louise Burns; sister-in-law Monika Burns, as well as numerous nieces and nephews: Matt, Sadie, Justin, Brandon, Samantha, Michael, Jeremy, Nathan, Zachary, and Maren.
Jo was predeceased by her brother Mark in 2016, her niece Jamie in 2011, father Dick in 1999, and mother Cynthia in 1972.
Jo lived and taught her entire career in Edson, and the number of lives she touched were countless.
Please join us in saying farewell to Jo at the Royal Canadian Legion, Joe Wynne Branch #51 on Saturday, January 28 at 2:00 pm. Light refreshments will follow.
