KUZMIC, Jeffery Edward
It is with profound sadness that the family of Jeffery Edward Kuzmic, age 35, announce his passing on September 27, 2011 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Edmonton, Alberta.
Jeff was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on April 2, 1976 to the parents of Fred and Ardelle Kuzmic. Jeff grew up and attended elementary and secondary school in Edson, AB. After graduation he attended Red Deer Business College and returned to Edson for employment. He lived in Edmonton at the time of his death, working toward a certificate in small engine repair at Nait. He loved the outdoors. Fishing, riding quads and motorcycles were among his favourite pastimes. Jeff had the ability to make people laugh and brighten their day. He was a great listener and helped lighten the load that others carried. He loved his children with all his heart.
Jeff is survived by his two beautiful children, Julie and Preston of Red Deer; his parents, Fred and Ardelle Kuzmic of Edson; his brother Fred (Brenda) Kuzmic of Fort McMurray; his sister Michelle (Steve) Winstone of Penticton, BC; his brother Sandy Kuzmic of Edson; his sister Marina Barker of Edson; his brother Dan (Val) Kuzmic of Edson; his brother Greg Kuzmic of Edson; his brother Josh Kuzmic of Edmonton. Jeff is also survived by his foster siblings, Steve (Regina) Domingue of Sarnia, ON; Arthur, Robert (Sandy), Edwin, Loena Moses of Edson; Darcy (Karmen) Jankovic of Edson; Elizabeth (Kevin) Jankovic-Foley of Petawawa, ON; John (Shannon) Jankovic of Edmonton; Samantha (Travis) Blackett of Edson; Tammy Huntley of Edmonton. Jeff is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was predeceased by both paternal and maternal grandparents, Alexander and Agnes Kuzmic; William and Dorothy Munn.
Services were held at Edson Baptist Church on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Terry Stauffer officiating. Cremation took place at Foothills Crematory and Jeff was laid to rest in the Glenwood Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Jeff can be make to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation or to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
