The family of Jean Burroughs wish to announce her passing on October 6, 2016 at her home in Hinton, Alberta at the age of 83. Jean was born in North Star, Alberta and spent her youth in that area. In 1956 she moved to Yellowknife, NT where she married and raised 3 children. She then moved to Deadwood, Alberta in 1986 to be close to her family and then to Hinton in 2009. Left to mourn her loss are her son Lance Mistal; granddaughter Jasmin (Gianni) great granddaughter Graziella; Katrina (Michael) great granddaughter Isley. Daughter Gayle Blanchfield; granddaughter Trisha great granddaughter Abby-Jean. Daughter Shelley (Ralph) Kermer; granddaughters Krista and Lindsey, as well as in-laws, nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her parents Jens and Hanna, brothers George, Arnold, Leonard and Kenneth, sisters Violet and Ione; husbands Frank Mistal (1979) and Albert Burroughs (2007) and by her son-in-law Doug Blanchfield (2010)
In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no formal memorial service held.
